Nonfiction book design & publishing

Skyrocket your impact, income, and authority by publishing like a pro.

Finishing your manuscript is only the first half of publishing.

Do you have a plan for what comes next?

I’m Rachel—nonfiction book designer and business enthusiast.

I founded Printed Page Studios to provide self-publishing authors with traditional-publishing quality services, so you can:

  • walk away with a stunning book that maximizes your impact, income, and authority

  • create a tangible legacy to be proud of for a lifetime and beyond

  • experience peace of mind as you are guided through the process by an expert

  • play a collaborative role and be heard as you work one-to-one with your designer—no middleman

  • get an expert, strategy-driven, cover-to-cover book design that sells more books and drives engagement

  • publish under your own imprint name and truly have full rights and control, including ownership of your cover design copyright and all of your design files (most publishers don’t give you this)

  • have the option to receive guidance throughout the entire publishing process from an expert publishing consultant, who will help you set up your own publishing imprint, create a marketing and launch plan, connect you with award-winning editors, and so much more

“I would absolutely recommend Printed Page Studios. Your straightforward approach and reliability make you an excellent partner when launching a book. I appreciated how simple and straightforward Printed Page Studios made the process and how everything was delivered exactly as promised. Printed Page Studios will be the first call I make when I launch my 3rd book.”

A stellar manuscript isn’t enough to publish a successful book.

As an expert on your topic, sharing your incredibly valuable knowledge and wisdom should be enough.

But the truth is that readers judge the quality of a book’s content by the quality of its design.

Furthermore, without having either in-depth knowledge and experience in the publishing industry, getting your book into the world without expert help can cost you more time, money, and headaches than you ever imagined.

—Tisha Schuller, Founder & CEO, Adamantine Energy, author of Real Decarbonization

“Rachel’s work was excellent. I really appreciated the way she was welcoming and responsive to our feedback. I love love love the final products! I might have to write another book so we can do this again.”

Is Printed Page Studios right for you?

Our services are specifically designed for you if:

  • you are writing a nonfiction book and have a draft of your manuscript (does not need to be the final draft)

  • you already know the value of book design, and you’re in no need of convincing that it’s fundamental to a successful book

  • you want the freedom and control of self-publishing, but want the quality of a traditionally-published book

  • you don’t want someone else having final say over your work, and you want full ownership, control, and royalties

  • you are purpose-driven and publishing to make an impact, help more people, increase revenue, get on more stages, etc.

  • you are entrepreneurial at heart—you are an expert in your topic and aren’t interested in trying to DIY things that aren’t in your zone of genius

  • you understand the massive ROI that can come from publishing a high-quality book, and see publishing as an investment that will pay you back in a multitude of ways, far beyond book sales alone

  • you value quality and professionalism, and are looking for a customized, high-touch service where you will be heard and have direct communication with your designer and/or a close-knit team

Everyone will judge it by the cover (and interior).

Quality book design is an investment with an ROI. Missing the mark on book cover and interior design will cost you in so many ways:

  • loss of book sales

  • reduced impact

  • damaged reputation and perceived credibility because of an amateur-looking book

  • frustration and lost time—dozens of hours trying to DIY

  • missing out on revenue, lead generation, speaking engagements, and other career opportunities

—Maureen Buick, author of Finding Bomb Boogie

“In the beginning (when it was finally time to choose a book cover designer and book interior designer), I narrowed it down to three choices based on recommendations, reviews, and examples of their work. I am so thankful I went with my intuition. I could not be happier with the end results—perfection!

Rachel was always patient and never made me feel like I was asking too much or taking up too much of her time. She was always supportive and believed in my project. Her design sense and publishing knowledge are exceptional, and I could not be happier with the end result. When we first embarked on this adventure together, Rachel spent about one hour asking me questions but mostly listening to me to get a sense of what I expected in a design. Because my book is a combination of memoir and World War II history, it was not typical of the traditional war biography or history genre. I wanted my cover to portray that feeling, and Rachel nailed it from the start. She is a true professional. No need to look further!”
